Being a 'Fanatical Milonguero’ myself , the only goal I have when I DJ is to ensure all dancers are having a great time. I have been nicknamed as “DJ-No-Nuevo” in the Northwest of England as I have a very strong sentiment towards the traditional tango music. To me, it takes three to tango – music is the most critical element which connects the dancers. The Majority of the music I play comes from the Golden Age, the Old Guard and some from the Transitional Era.
I focus intensely on the floor energy and hope I manipulate the flow with flawlessly structured tandas, which tell stories. I always feel like I am dancing with all the dancers at the same time. I play for every one of them and for them all together.
